impermanence

by Jim Benz

on a beach
of receding tides
sorrow
draws its line
so gracefully

Brings to mind a barely visible brush painting this, no beginning, no end.... Lovely. Thank you.

Oh wow. This is so evocative. I found it through Paul Lastovica's journal - http://pathetic.org/journal.php?i_memberid=6297 - where he posted a photo as a bow to you and this poem. Now I can't read your poem without also seeing that photo. So much to think about in this little gem - the graceful line drawn by sorrow. Thanks for a beautiful poem and for a good meditation topic, Jim.

Now that's being easy...and I mean saying so much...nice.
