A Valentine Date

I thought it was a pimple,
so I rubbed my sore behind
'til I noticed my date's dimple.
He just smiled and glanced away,
until I burst out laughing.
He looked back and chuckled too,
which made it all more baffling.
How could I fall in love so fast?
It couldn't be that simple!
But 20 years have come to pass
