I Let Myself Wonder

by Anita Mac

Hesitant and respectful?
Gentle and slow and sure?
Sly and quick, but soft?
A wall nearby?
    (who will be against it?)
A door that slams?
Rushed into;
hands flying to the back of a neck?

A slow and intriguing
    “Of course…”
        Or
A passionate flustering
    “Finally!”?

Sometimes I let myself wonder
As though it’s inevitable,
well…

Hold me
    by my hips or
the small of my back or
just cradle my face in your hands.

Author's Note: Weak, I know... But it was keeping me from others; I had to get it out of the way.

Take pity on us guys. We want to know how to act, and what we're supposed to do, but it's really hard to get that figured out. This captures that notion pretty well, actually.
