a series of love poems.

by Jared Fladeland

Love is a stick of butter
Laying in a warming pan,
Sizzling,coating, melting,
And sure, it can kill,
It can get between your heart and appendages,
But in the end
Everyone thinks it makes everything
Taste better.

Now here is a poet! Seeing an ordinary thing, watching it become transformed while experiencing the poetic transformation within... then putting it so succinctly and cleverly into words. Way to go Jared!
