nothing lasts forever

by Laura Doom

strip away the alpine smile
and softer contours that beguile
then discard the heart of queens
from dick's unruly hand of genes
next to go, the leading light
of tunnel vision's final flight
finally, erase the sword
that draws its final breath abroad

choke on dada's recipe
for instant immortality
