How on earth
did you arrive here?
Little cross between
a foul joke
told by friends
and a dream
brilliantly cast
on a fishing line
into the ocean
“Time to catch the big one”
you told yourself
You had all you needed:
squirming bait,
pierced by a steel hook.
So, how did you
end up buried
beneath the golden sands
of an arid desert?
