Lithely

by Maria Massarella

when in dream you
ride the breath of love
creative essence
enflames my ink would
word the world aglow
poeticize how
with lunalight you
tress my hair - kiss
mysticness to eye
passions piano ever
aplay

I need leave

were I to stay
words could fall
ambrosian - oh
and what would
night say when
shedded the veils
your fingers of light
waltz my nakedness
there to where lithe
the spirit ever
sublimes the

need to remain

oh

were my timelessness
one with yours
I would not be dancing
alone

You dance not alone but with words of senuous beauty which grace your movements with singular glamour.

Romantic, beautiful, the title a preface to such verse as one would waltz with words and wistfully dance with the poetess herself. smh

"...my ink would word the world aglow" It does!

Beautiful poetics throughout Maria...sublime romanticism with a noteworthy tinge of sadness in the ending.

This nimble poem is an enduring reminder that even in our dreams we are never really alone. I especially like the way your interplay with artful text draws deeper meaning from every ethereal word.
