sometimes

i wonder why God has granted me this extra time

gossamers me with threads of eternal

wake

my eyes won't sleep

a timeless melody spirals my being in a light i can't define

and were i to sleep

it follows me into dreams

is there again on waking

ethereal gentle celestialness

is this the music of love

the awakened kiss

Author's Note: the first line was obviously headed in a direction other than what followed ... i would and could edit the words the thought and yet have decided to leave it pure no matter what it conveys ... it is a reminder (for me) that when thoughts may stray, love & light are there to evanesce the shadows ...

I loved every word. if we all could think that those times we lay in bed fighting for sleep were actually gifts from the universe for us to think and enjoy just being. thank you for sharing your words, they are lovely.
