Mirage

by Maria Massarella

Silent I contemplate this
Desert page betrothed to pen’s aridity

Solicitous the third eye
Alights paradisiacal projections

Dunes words to oasis a dream
Nuptial ceremony where even the

Muses would come to plumage their quill respire
The fragrance of a mirage

Oh Dear G-d, I love G-d. Because you exist, I know there is a G-d. I also want you to know, and all the world to praise, that you have the power to make me/us laugh out so loud, and ... that there are many souls on this beautiful day I will encounter along my way who will not suffer my selfish brutality of ignorance. I truly believe that my black cat Blackie, who has been severely paraliyzed for 6 months, who walked across my living room floor two days ago as if nothing had happened, did so, in part, because your words have a magical, mystical ability to heal. Thank you, Maria of Modena. Love, of the nebulous kind, Scott.
