when the night undances

by Maria Massarella

with a sworded flash
anticipates glimpses
dissipates nascent hope

leaves no choice other
than come to you naked
of fears and illusions

Author's Note: * embraces the new year

sidenotes: hoping it will be gentle with my beloved ones and all who have more challenges on their horizon

though i must admit i adore what Kathleen has seen in my words

Here the playful night undresses with its dance. The love induces such a trance that those two veils are dropped- fear and illusion only the true and lover would prefer to cut through these... to bliss. Beautifully invoked, this new year's embrace.

Ringing in the new year without malice or undue optimism!
