in the yes

by Maria Massarella

had i looked into your eyes
i could say it is in their
light your magnetism

though your eyes
i have never seen

their light is known to me
in the eyes of dreams

I love the play on eyes in yes, so subtle and dreamlike, yes. I know this feeling and so beautifully I even dreamed my daughter saw such eyes and saw her beaming the other night, happier than I have ever seen. You evoke this beautiful bliss of knowing eyes of of dream.

Subtlety is the word for this dreamlike poem. The eyes (yes) have it!

Happy New Year, my friend... I loved this one. You are truly a gifted songstress with words. There is a melody I hear each time I read this. alisa ;-0

I stop ... everything is still for a moment ... and then that other reality startles back into slow motion. It is always that way when I read you.

There are no boundaries to you or your creativity, angelina. I love your softness and courage and the way you slide in lovely surprises in your writing. *J
