comeuppance. by Andrew S Adamsthe last thing this world needs
is another generation of people
dumb enough to pay a tobacco company
to kill them.
it's either sink or swim,
eat or be eaten,
live or let live-
but if we are sharks,
(and believe me, we are)
whose blood catches our scent?
(often, it's loved ones in
razorblade swim trunks)
and what happens after that?
(biological imperative
versus logic and reason)
do any of us really stand
a chance? 07/25/2008 Author's Note: uh...

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 07/25/08 at 02:27 PM I think it's the same with any corporation, really. McDonalds, Budweiser, any company that makes an SUV that isn't fuel-efficient. I've never understood the idea that tobacco companies are somehow worse. That said, I still liked this. You went after your point, and you weren't preachy about it. Good stuff. |

Posted by Brian Francis on 07/28/08 at 07:19 PM great imagery (razorblade swim trunks) Love it. You present our dilemma well if somewhat pessimistically remember even big sharks grill up well. --bf |
