Meravigliosamente by Maria Massarella
Meravigliosamente
She speaks of smoky grays
iridescent blacks and azure-gold
mention the rhetoric of spirit
rising with the morning sun
its fiery radiance stretching
reds into her skies merging
sleeplessness with awakenings
wearing its devoted kiss
On a dancers whim entering this day
twirling the breeze on fingertips
waltzing with loves embrace
this song celebrates the world
The stillness of silence floats
around the garden of her heart
eyes in yellows reds and iris hues
behold what life may bring
while September comes too soon

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 04/24/08 at 02:44 PM I want to hear you say the title - I suspect it rolls off the tongue with the same beauty as this poem. My favorite line - "twirling the breeze on fingertips." Thank you! |

From springs of romantic streams
Gifts of surreal, but lifegiving dreams
And so always to her amazement I'm sure
Comes wonderful-ly filled words and pure |
