Sin

by Quinlan L Gibson

Deep down, a flame in side
had just been lit by dire pride.
I heard the snarl and felt the singe.
The red whip made my hot gutts cringe.
The churn and grip; the burn of touch.
The life of love; turn ash by lust.

Author's Note: Another Creative Writing class assignment. Approx. 50 words, one syllable words only, inspiration of fire. How cool is this class?! There were so many ways to approach this. This was the first thing I wrote, and in the time I had was the only one I chose to keep and turn in.
