Old Halls

by Joe Cramer

Old halls, with tall walls

Envelop me as I walk

Along the staid high school.

Students swell along corridors

As the doors slam open, then shut.

Shouts, laughter echoes through the day.

So many thoughts that are proferred

While each student fills his voice

In this educational process.

Author's Note: I was roaming around in Robert E. Lee High School, its claim to fame as the home of the band Lynard Skynard.
