June

by Dave Fitzgerald

The significance of June?
In no particular order...
A very memorable kiss,
my last High School exam,
honeysuckle,
a "Worlds Greatest Dad!" mug and a new pair of socks,
joining the Army,
deaths of close family,
my son being born,
returning from two tours,
feeding a gopher on an Alberta prairie,
my sons face on his first flight,
jet-lag,
sunburn,
jet-lag with sunburn and that very memorable first kiss...

With June Stipplethwick, what a girl!

Author's Note: For the June Poetry Contest... June Stipplethwick is made up :) I don't think it's a real name.

Hmmmm It had to be a June someone. Right? LOL!! There obvious was a first kiss. Nostalgic and sentimental and memorable.
