Fate wrapped in cornstalks by Amanda BullingtonThe black and blue sky {bruised} above me,
The tantalizing stalks reaching up into the starry night,
And the cool, hard, earth beneath us
Mix with the taste of hemp leaves
And nicotine upon your lips
To remind me how it feels to be
So human, but ever-so animalistic.
Feeling the desperation lying dormant in your eyes
And mine, as you pound into my thighs
For the first
And last time.
Waves of pain wash over me,
Turning all my pent-up emotional baggage
Into pure, raw energy
Waiting to be
Released unto you.
Until, as we stand once more in unison,
The world transforms back into the cool,
Hard place where Neanderthals and Cro-Magnon men
First tried
Hopelessly
To shape
Their fate. 08/21/2006 Posted on 08/21/2006 Copyright © 2024 Amanda Bullington
