Contact by Anita MacShe was talking...
rambling
about the faces guys make.
I just had to take that fatal step
into my memoriesÂ…
Because I'm the type of person
who lives to make my own life Difficult.
Not once
was there anything funny
about your face...
your eyes just Always seemed to Find mine;
high,
hungover,
half-asleep;
they Always Found mine in that
Crucial Moment.
And I thought maybe that's how I Knew
that you Loved me...
then I thought
maybe that's just part of it.
I miss you
more than I'll ever make the Mistake
of telling you.
It'd only be another fatal step.

Posted by Ava Blu on 07/10/05 at 05:47 AM I like the format; not my favorite, but it works. The poem, on the other hand, more than works. Your title fits nicely with this. I like how you bring "fatal step" back at the end. I feel everything you write. |
