HOW HAS IT BEEN by Mark MaxeyHow's it been?
sitting all alone?
beside your win
or so you say
heads or tails
it doesn’t really matter
games you play
all within a day
childish whimpers
mixed with content
moving along
on your path to nowhere land
jumbled pieces you carved
while not realizing
what you wanted
and how's that working out?
as you sit and pout
wondering where the river is
you pissed in...and let dry up
as bones in a desert
words you said would last
as if it's a spell you cast
but in it all I saw
your true reflection
mirrors you seemed to break
for you didn't want to look
made you run
no one held a gun
but you made it out
before you could ever get in
so how has it been?
sitting all alone
beside your win
or so you say
heads or tails
it doesn’t really matter
for I left the game
while you were rolling the dice
a piece left from the slice
I cut into
a game or a rune or a stone
it really doesn’t matter
for it's all been scattered
among the dust
and it can never rust
for I no longer trust
that a friend is a must
