Singiveram

by Melina Raven Maness Diebold

To taste the ginger stain across lips

and savor the sting left on their tips

Sense the song the rhizomes dole

and watch the aroma ecllipse

Her hazel oculi delving, casting, shy

steamy tea-wisps through the wind whips

Pfaltzgraff quaffing, gentle flagon

with lips to kiss and hiss with sips

The last swallow done, Alas! Rue!

What joy is tea, Soma for lips!

Author's Note: ghazal attempt. Will work on it later, please give suggestions and advice on it.

it was intriguing to guzzle down this ghazal, sorry, couldn't resist, being a regular tea-totaler. Well done.
