After the third or fourth time by Angela Cotterman
Your breasts heave
breathless and full
in one caught moment
and you are like a hundred lovers
with your head thrown back
to gasp air into your lungs.
You are prepared for your release
when a thousand forces battle
to take your weight from you.
A few seconds more
and you are as light as you've ever been
But, baby, I want you to know
that I can see you
fighting intimacy
each time our eyes meet
and you look away.
