What a Joke!!!

by Ashok Sharda

Words lead me nowhere

They do construct a premise
A prison cell of ever illusive
The so-called freedom
I happily confine myself into.

My search continues
For those hefty words
Which can produce a lay out
Draw a map
Of the path leading to
This prison cell.

Can freedom be tied to a path?
Can freedom be confined to a premise?
Or to this word
FREEDOM.

What a joke!

Can a Non-I
Survive without an I?
Can a Non-I  BE
Objectively without a
Non-I?

Author's Note: As long there is SEEING, there’s a SEER. As long one is SEEING SEEING, one is far from what freedom means. FREEDOM is freedom from this phenomena ‘self’ in its all forms. Self is nothing but a prison cell.

so one must SEE and break out of said prison (the confines of the human essence) and BE free... well thought and brilliantly stated, my friend... lessons come from the heavens... as do you... blessings...

Of course you are correct! It's a chosen boundary, to be human, n'est pas? It is being able to rise above the confines of our human-ness that makes the magic. What fun would it be if we came here with the innate ability to morph in and out of our physical/emotional/spiritual laws? Don't we choose this way of existing as our lesson and challenge? As always, you've expanded my thinking AGAIN, and I love when that happens!!!

It's true. A life is meaningless if it's devoted to the "A," people feel alone and they are. Words are often so limiting.

Freedom, maybe true freedom would be a curse if we really had it hahahaha…maybe if a “Non-I” could “survive without an I” or could “BE Objectively without a Non-I” one would go MAD! For if we had this capacity we would not be human at all to begin with…hmm…ok that’s all I have right now…I know I know, ‘what a joke!’ haha ;-)

The self and words, inadequate vessels for the soul. Well done, my friend.

Interesing concept, self as a prison! I think of selfishness as the prison. Let selfabsorption disappear and the self is indeed free! A usual thought provoking poem.

somebody once wrote the only real freedom we have is to choose our own prison.
