Shattering the occlusion by Laura DoomIt seemed so natural
for us to lie, together
under the watchful eye
of the weeping sky
as it kissed the earth;
implicit absolution
for a mundane act
of pure recreation.
As heaven and earth
you and I are inseparable.
Though we touch the ephemeral
our tears flow through eternity
soaking our flesh in luxuria
to quench nature's thirst
for sexual intoxication.
Love's illusion evaporates;
one fleeting sky in the cloud
of this heavenly hell on earth. 05/15/2004 Posted on 05/15/2004 Copyright © 2024 Laura Doom

Posted by Michele Schottelkorb on 05/15/04 at 07:10 PM i have to disagree... i found nothing cliché about this... and "big" words are present, but not so "big" as to suggest they are purposely placed... in fact, i think the whole tone and verbiage of the piece has ambience precisely of a coming down... i find it quite brilliant... blessings... |
