I dont look it

by Vikki Owens

I dont look it, do I?
The image of ill, the exemplary of discontent.
Pulled together and buttoned up, me, the perfectly timed
disclosure of
composure and
comfort.

..............

The insides unravel, gain speed and snowball.

...............

I am frantic

...............

I am fine.

I really like this piece...it pushes and pulls and one can SENSE the conflicts between your many 'selves'...I just hope the 'intending self' wins out in the end. This is very well written because it tugs HARD (with very little talk) at the reader's sense of calm and composure as, I think, it is meant to...nice work!
