Hey Baby

by Kalikala Smith

Jimmy was a wise man for a day.
He had many games to play.
He looked at me, said "hey baby, what's your name,
well it doesn't matter, it's all the same.

"Hey baby, come home with me.
We could be alright.
Hey baby, don't you be afraid.
I have the house to myself tonight.
Ya, my parents are out on the town tonight."

Well do you really think I'd fall for that shit.
Do you think I'm some kind of idiot?
Cuz you know Jimmy, I am a woman.
And despite what you think I use the brain that I've been given.

And you pray to your gods,
and you think you're a charmer.
But look at your odds,
you can't get much farther.
You're idea of treating me like a queen is absurd.
Cuz those are the worst pick-up lines that I've ever heard.

And he said...
"Hey baby, come home with me.
We could be alright.
Hey baby, don't you be afraid.
I have the house to myself tonight.
Ya, my parents are out on the town tonight."
