Take me to the river

by Kimberly Bare

in the arms of the mother
i am but a child
take me to the river
and let me rest a while

caress me with serenity
submerge me in your faith
touch me with soft breezes
so this world i can face

wash me of my burdens
soothe me with your love
i feel your hand upon me
like the softness of a dove

take me to the river
let me rest a while
in the arms of the mother
i am but a child

Intricate yet comforting flow to this piece. I love the way it just fit well with my soul. Great read.
