hopes of growing old gracefully

by Kimberly Bare

Crisp wind whipping
through hair of
graying scarlet like the sky.

A peace glowing
from within
azure-jade eyes.

Alabaster skin
beautifully marred
by laughter's line.

I wish to see me
standing strong
against the test of time.

Good poem Kimberly. I hope you stand against the test of time. And what a test it is!!! An oldster who still has her blonde hair and an 18 year old in her heart. Jane

Graceful words and exquisite verse! This should be an anthem for all of us. :)
