We Dance

by Kate Demeree

Images

Silhouetted
Bodies molded together
One hand in your hair
Heart to heart
Beating strong and hard
One against the other
Your hand in my hair
The other on my hip
Back arched
Body taunt
Tingling toe tips
Part of me delirious
The other bereft

Without your touch
Looking into your eyes
Lips hungrily alive
Anticipating yours
Sliding my other hand along your thigh
I sigh
As
The music begins
And we dance
