A Woman

by Ken Harnisch

So my biographer may wonder who it was

That inspired me

And I will just reply

“A woman.”

Then, smiling enigmatically,

Invite him to cull the poems

That will unravel all the mystery

For her part

The woman knows who she is

And if she chooses to remain

Anonymous

The poor man may be culling

Quite a while

To this woman who inspires, Bravo to you, my dear! What you hath wrought is a mighty and gentle pen-man-poet. Thank you and congratulations. It is good to see and hear you in this man's mind, heart, and voice.
