let it go

by Kalikala Smith

Snowflakes fall across my window pane.
They dust the earth with a white that they proclaim,
is the source of all the purity found,
in the earth, the sky, the sea, on the ground.
And the only way to get around (this)
Let the snow fall down.

Raindrops glimmer down my window pane.
They coat the earth with a substance they proclaim,
is the source of living things found,
in the earth, the sky, the sea, on the ground.
And the only way to get around (this)
Let the rain fall down.

Sunbeams stream across my window pane.
They light the earth with a radiance they proclaim,
is the source of all goodness found,
in the earth, the sky, the sea, on the ground.
And the only way to get around (this)
Let the sun shine down.

Breezes flow across my window pane.
They swirl the earth with a force that they proclaim,
is the source of all the love that's found,
in the earth, the sky, the sea, on the ground.
And the only way to get around (this)
Let the wind go...
Let it go.
