In that moment {fragment} by Betania TeschWhat layer have we slipped between,
stomping down past and holding up future,
keeping one step behind present,
out of sight--
We form in this space
constantly evading the time--
We become human in the running,
immortal in the escape.
In that moment before waking
we are indestructable--
In that moment before dying
we are timeless.

Posted by Glenn Currier on 03/13/03 at 04:16 AM Yes, the moments in between are where we live... and die... wonderful, thought-provoking poem, Bethany. Way to go. |

And yes, in that moment before waking we are timeless in our deaths. Beautiful realization dear Bethany. |
