There's a bug dying in my window

by Tim J Bono

There's a bug dying in my window...
And adults, are civilized children.
as I cling to my delicate senses,
Because that's all I have in this fragile world

And you won't finish my letter,
on this hiatus you have broached
And isn't this evil,
that my knees buckle,
and my tongue trembles,
as my clumsy mouth falters over its intentions

And I can't run,
because I would never be able to reach you
So I settle for running my mind
And it is this way, that I too, am
passing
the
time.

It's a race you see; time
I pass you, and you pass me
and I grow wicked like yesterday's lunch.
and you always win
you always win...
