Gentle summer (kuku)

by A. Paige White

gentle summer rains
swelling surf chuckles
the GPS yawns

Author's Note:
Ah Florida

I went with Chip to Florida on my vacation
(even a vacation might involve work)
after we'd left his last assignment,
I punched in the next destination to the GPS
who replied in her female voice with a YAWN
and the typical instructions. I sat there for a minute
and finally asked him if he heard that. He laughed
and said, yeah, but I wasn't going to say
a n y t h i n g.
Never done it before or since. Apparently his GPS
much prefers his touch to mine.
It's one of our favorite
***vacation into weird***
memories

A humorous treatment of a summer rain -- see Maria Massarella's recent post on a summer rain.
