Silence Running

by Chris Sorrenti

So
all the points have clarified
on a love
that never existed

And now
your face is fading
fading fast
like bubbles
rising
to the surface of a deep lake
never to be seen again

Chris, it's good to be back on this site and to read your poem. I feel as if I have come home again after a long hiatus. Your library is the first one I have visited today. I like your poem. It is poignant and the imagery is hard hitting. The bubbles fading is a perfect metaphor for what you present in the first stanza. I look forward to reading more of your current work, my friend.
