Of Frozen Peas and Fatigue
by Katerina T Nix
Push the wall and seal the crack
See there is no coming back
This house is dead and dark
Tired of faces that cheat and lie
The one of all has passed me by
Is there no white armed maiden?
Taught a bird to sing and fly
Caught a spider and watched it die
Burnt toast awaits my lips.
Rather taste the extremities of a stranger
Walk this path of seeming danger
Than squeeze the juice from this rock.

Katrina - this is .... exquisite in form and flow. And I LOVE the image of trying to squeeze juice from that rock - AMAZING and soooooooo relevant! Thank you!

The rhythm is great here. Gosh. This could be a song with a guitar and vibraphone
