Attempting Isn't Enough

by Amanda L Marron

My pessimism often suppresses my optimism
Will you have any reason to miss me?
Sometimes I feel like I haven’t given you any
I reflect on the times we’ve spent together
Your very presence relieving my trepidation
My rock, my stronghold
My fingers are slipping
I lost my train of thought
When you glanced at me with those striking auburn eyes
Your every smile is imprinted on my heart
Will I be in your memories?

Quite a nice tribute you've got there. I'm sure he really appreciates it.
