Lazy eyes roam across the room
Gazing at the emptiness
Seeing everything but noticing nothing.
Can you feel those
Rheumy eyes gain their focus and pour
Themselves over your body like
Greedy fingers-
Grabbing your buttons, callously
Scraping skin; friction tears in
The layers put forth by the mind?
