The red current flows again
Same time, every month
When the moon gets full
When the tide rushes in
So begins the storm surge
Commencing with an agitated uprising of muscles
Revolting against my body
Curling me into position fetal with tears in my eyes
During the course of the next few days I get by
With a little help from an ibuprofen medicament
Little by little the tempest sets to subside
Till finally after 5 tenacious days
It’s gone
It’s hell experiencing the force of life
