My Valley - Part 4 - Evitation

by Gavin M Roy

Your son shines abound
Obscured by the peaks
From my vantage
Here in my valley
I walk head pointed down
Occasionally I look
To remind myself
Of how much I love
and I hate
my valley

This is beautiful Gavin, such a beautiful realization, all the pain and struggle culminating in VISION despite the subjects placement down in the valley, "Your son shines abound Obscured by the peaks From my vantage" - I like this so much, this series is really a beautiful ascention from this valley which the subject is slowly beginning to recognize as his prison, too familiar to hate, and too confining to love...

Clearly a divided heart expressed with great feeling. A sadness that permeats the atmosphere. Reminds me of the rich young ruler who turned away when Christ asked him to sell all he had and follow him (Christ).
