topic: blank pages to fill

by Amanda L Marron

Writing continuously
Writing words entwined
Ideas out of paper
Released from a chaotic mind

Writing rapid
Writing without rest
Scribbling down quickly
These thoughts process too fast

Poetry created
Paper crumpled and thrown
WriterÂ’s block invading
My intricate thoughts blown

With a gleaming smile
Or eyes tear filled
I write when inspired
Because I have blank pages to fill

12/29/2004

Author's Note: inspired by the poem "Blank Pages" by Russ Rankin of the band, Good Riddance

I really enjoyed reading this.. interesting scope on the process of writing, and you kept the reader intrigued. Great work..

I like this. Yes the process of writing and all its pitfalls and obstacles...then the inspiration - a candle in the dark and the tears of joy or memory.

As I sit here looking at crumpled papers and scribbles, I think your poem is help clearing my writer's fog....thanks!
