do you adore me, us as a pair?

i'd hoped the inevitable wouldn't be true

for awhile, i didn't even have a clue

i sat re-reading "Stand", very subdued

tears fell from my eyes

swiftly, as a pillow muffled my cries

my friends told me it was just all lies

but i had to know it, just from you

our love is growing, still brand new

i'd hate to lose it all in a flue
