Broken Circle by Amanda L Marronapathy claims us
turning us into mindless drones
we were supposed to work together
to fight for each other
never to back down
we never will be as close as we once were
our circle is broken
you let go of my hand
i collapse on my knees
sobbing as i hum a song of better days
days that were filled with laughter
creating memories
you don't want to make memories with me anymore
you don't see me anymore
you cover your eyes with a blindfold
you don't know which direction you're headed
as far as i see you made a wrong turn
influenced by the one who influenced me
don't let him have the control
he's led to believe he has
heal our broken circle
catch up and grab my hand
i'll be waiting 06/24/2003 Author's Note: friends straying away
