i can but cannot understand
this menial relationship game,
it splits apart friends
and is always the same.

inane as it seems
you would think we would realize
iit is not what one deems
something up to size

it starts happily at first
and then you forget your friends
"Your loved one comes first,"
who is there in the end?

so true and oh so sad
it could drive this one mad.
