here i sit thinking of past
times and of you
nothing seems to last,
what can I do?

and now i seem to repeat
my past errors and mistakes
the idea seems effete
but of it i still contemplate

now i can try again
to love you once more
shall we be more than friends?
what i've been looking for?

someone to love and to hold
but repeating mistakes grow old.
