oh what a splendid thing emotion
gentle as a dove
overbearing like the ocean
released in many ways, favored in love

it governs our daily lives,
dictates happiness and misery
sends out our joyful cries
to make us splendid through the days

governing our life at its whim
disturbing as it pleases
it makes on forget sin
and allures the future it seizes

this wicked splendid thing emotion
i couldn't even forget the notion.
