Tune in next week for another installment of “As Pathetic Turns”

by Gavin M Roy

Next week will Dr Jones
Finally sleep with Nurse Betty?
Will Janice die alone?
Will she be ready?

Tune in next week
For more crash boom bang
Tune in next week
To see the drama reign

Will Josh cheat on his wife?
Will the dueling egos call it a draw?
Will Amber start a new life?
Will Heather say what she saw?

Tune in next week
For another exciting episode
Tune in next week
Our stories never grow old

As the world turns and we play our part
So if you don’t want to get into it, don’t start.

Author's Note: Again any similarities here to ANY situation are coincidental. This is not pointed to any one person, people, members, etc... But rather the on-going constant drama that any community faces, even ours.

I'm with Sallie on this one- when do I make my grand appearance?!? Can I be the pool-boy? I demand that I get the pool-boy part... or maybe even the criminal guy... I can be a member of the Hell's Angels who steals Cassie's boots and holds them for ransom... Or a picture-rights advocate demanding more rights and equal-treatment for all photos.... although, for kicks, I might be willing to play the part of Jadi's secret lover... LOL! Oh, and I'll take bacardi and cokes in my dressing room, with CRUSHED ice, thank you.... Great read Gavin, this is great! Thank you!!! lol!

Good stuff G-man. Now look what you started. Waiting till next week to catch-up on this soap-opera might be too late with this crowd. If Richard gets the pool boy part I'm a player but I'll need a mask cuz I'm not ready to come out publicly just yet. And I wanna ride that big Harley (I get the back), just don't tell Chris, Richards reputation is at stake even if he is a facist nazi flamer. Peace...

Do we REALLY want to go there? Why not just write our own Jerry Springer show? Sometimes fact is stranger than fiction.

Hey.... this is the first time I've been to your library. Soap Opera/Pathetic.... Pathetic/Soap Opera.... either way, it works! I like it! Great idea for a poem.... and great rhythm.

eh? You've been spending too much time in SoCal, Gav, Californication has seeped into your brain... scary... ;) At least you didn't turn us into a Friend's episode, that's just low... Jersey

ROFLOL! I used to be into the "drama" of soap operas, but then it occured to me they were all the same. You summed them up in this one poem!

Evocative read Gavin. Can feel the dramatic tension throughout. Can't wait till next week's episode!

Man, shouldn't someone tell us this stuff BEFORE we join? (Hee Hee, would have wanted to anyway!)

Ha! So true of every community I've ever been in. Nice capturing of it ;)

So at Pathetic.org, I finally catch up! Your 30th birthday a good time to do it! Another year in the life of Roy's Pathetic. And the pathos of turning thirty. It's all just too pathetic! *winks* Happy Birthday (again) Gavin.

I was just studying the different forms of poetry and ran across this one. Absolutely hilarious. *applauding*
