Wishing away the rain...(a waiting for December story)

by Katerina T Nix

The rains are here-
they're pouring down hard

Each drop can scratch
my face so bad, you see

It's hail, it's hell
It's so dark,
So grim.

I want to find my sun.

It's early November-
summer is so near

If I wish away the cold
will it take the overcast
weather in my head?

I can't wait for summer
and christmas and the beach,
Those warm nostalgic nights
and beautiful sunset sights.
