All Over A Guy

by Amanda L Marron

tell me why i'm still not good enough
it's always better to be sweet than tough
you always stole everything from under my nose
i could swear you're acting like a foe
thought you were my friend, had you with trust
now i realize you don't value what we had, as you cussed
i've given up and crawled into my hole
you're still holding all the cards, why won't you just fold?
ruined my life, broke my heart, and made me cry
who would've guessed it was all over a guy?
even a year after you tried to tear me down
still standing, here i am, my roots deep within the ground
over and over it breaks my heart
still you're trying to break me apart
don't you see it, you won
you stole his heart from me, it's done

Author's Note: losing a great guy that i liked to a friend of mine who didn't even care to take my feelings into consideration

this would make a great girl-rock song! i usually don't like rhyme but it works really great here, and thus would go very memorably with music.
