Chorus for Destruction (a collaboration)

by Amanda L Marron

evil hateful stares
judging me always
thinking they know me
at only one sideways glance
not ever being civil
or even giving me a chance
fuck their mechanical thinking
contradicting what i say with stereotypes
about me, my friends
with their literal backwards views
on their god
that abandoned us centuries ago
they don't have the power
nor the strength
to go through what i've been through
i see different
way different
than they do
blinded by fears
threatening me with beliefs
i find myself in tears
lying on the floor
looking for relief
from the pain, from the stab wounds
of betrayal in my back
but still you twist the knife
never ceasing to cause me pain
laughing at me
as i cry tears of a lost hope
i'm like the tv weatherman
who claims it is going to snow
but the real storm is in his heart
i'm like the lost cause
that everyone forgets to fight for
scapegoat is my name
i have the deadly addiction
i drown myself in my drugs, my fears
to get away from myself
from them, shoving god down my throat
with the silver spoon from their parents' money
they say praise the lord, dont use his name in vain
but how can i praise and use something in vain
that doesnt exist as they see it
they can take their parents money and shove it
where the room has been made
after the spoon
has been liberated from their ass

Fond reminder of some of my own earlier work; anger nicely sculpted. I especially like the lines: i'm like the tv weatherman who claims it is going to snow but the real storm is in his heart. Killer closeout in those last two lines. Because of the "f" word, you might want to rate this as Explicit to avoid a conflict with the Admins.
