Columbine by Amanda L MarronNot knowing where you are, I am scared I am hiding from you I do not wanna die You have a gun I hear a pipe bomb go off I start to cry We hear your footsteps As you come down the hall Oh no, there is another bomb Your footsteps are getting closer I huddle in a corner Hoping that if you come, you will not find me Oh shit, you are at the door People are trying desperately not to be seen In fear of dying You turn toward the opposite end of the room You have set you eyes on someone Cassie She is trying not to be seen You drag her out from under the table You glare at her She looks back, trembling with fear Everyone is silent You ask, Do you believe in God? The whole room waits in anticipation of her reply Yes, we hear her say All of a sudden, bang!, you shoot her Everyone starts screaming You start shooting Everyone is panicking You do not happen to see me When you run out of bullets you leave We wait for wait seems like an eternity Blood is everywhere Finally the SWAT team gets to us And all of us are in shock After it all, we found out, we lost 12 Why did this have to happen? What possessed Eric and Dylan to make them do this? That is something we'll never know
12/28/2001 Author's Note: someone told me about Cassie's story and standing up for her beliefs....that night i had a dream, i was in her shoes, saw everything through her eyes.....i woke up and wrote this
